The application provides editing and document-formatting functionality; you supply the content and decide how the resulting files are used or distributed.

The service provided
TextToEbook.com allows you to organize text into chapters, choose a book template, adjust typography and colors, configure page layout, preview a generated document, and download a PDF. It also supports local draft persistence and downloadable editable draft backups in the application’s JSON format.
The current version does not require an account or payment for those features. It does not currently export EPUB, DOCX, or a retailer-specific ebook package. A template, preview, or descriptive article should not be understood as a guarantee that an unsupported output format is available.
The service is intended to assist with formatting and preparation. It does not provide professional editorial review, rights clearance, legal advice, or certification that your book meets a particular distribution requirement. You should obtain any separate review that your content or intended use requires.
Your manuscript and rights
You retain the rights you hold in the manuscript and other material you bring to the application. Using the editor does not transfer ownership of your writing to TextToEbook.com. The local ebook workflow processes the material to provide the editing, preview, persistence, and export actions you request.
You are responsible for having permission to use and distribute the text, images, quotations, and other material included in your book. An image upload control or rich text feature does not provide a license to third-party content. Keep any permissions or attribution information required for the material you choose.
You are also responsible for the accuracy and suitability of the finished work. Check names, claims, citations, links, and instructions before publication. If the book addresses a topic with significant consequences for its readers, appropriate subject-matter review is part of your publishing responsibility.
Acceptable use
Use the application in a way that respects the rights and safety of others and does not interfere with the service. Do not attempt to compromise the site, bypass access controls, exploit software weaknesses, or disrupt its operation through abusive requests or malicious files.
Do not use contact features to send spam, impersonate another person, or submit content intended to harm systems or recipients. The form is provided for legitimate questions and feedback about TextToEbook.com. Ordinary input limits and validation may be used to keep that channel usable.
The application treats manuscript content as data rather than executable instructions. You must not rely on pasted scripts, embedded programs, or unsupported file content running inside a book. If a format or feature is not supported, use a suitable separate tool rather than attempting to circumvent the editor’s validation.
Local storage and backups
The editor saves drafts in the browser on your device. This is a convenience for returning to a project, not a promise of permanent storage or a managed backup service. Browser settings, private browsing, storage limits, device problems, or cleared site data can make a local draft unavailable.
Keep your original manuscript and download editable draft backups regularly. A generated PDF is useful for reading and distribution, while the JSON draft preserves the editable chapter and layout data. Store both appropriately if you expect to revise the book later.
The service cannot guarantee recovery of a draft that exists only in a browser environment we do not control. Before clearing local data, replacing a draft, changing devices, or making substantial revisions, ensure that you have the copies you need. Confirmation and backup prompts reduce mistakes but do not replace your own file-management decisions.
Preview and export limitations
The preview displays pages from the generated PDF. It may take time to update after a change, particularly for a long manuscript or large image. A visible update or generation state should be allowed to finish before you judge the current document or start another export.
The PDF engine performs pagination and embeds selected fonts. Actual results depend on the content and settings. Long headings, unusual Unicode characters, complex pasted formatting, or very large images deserve particular review. The font collection does not imply that every possible character is supported by every family.
Check the downloaded PDF before sharing it. Review the cover, contents, several chapter openings, and the final page. For important work, inspect all pages or use an appropriate review process. We do not guarantee that every combination of inputs will produce a publication-ready result without adjustment.
Distribution and third-party requirements
You decide where and how to share the generated file. A general-purpose PDF may be suitable for direct downloads, classroom resources, or other uses, but external platforms can impose their own requirements. Confirm those requirements with the destination before relying on a particular export.
The service does not guarantee acceptance by a retailer, marketplace, library, printer, or reading device. It does not claim Amazon approval, Kindle certification, a print-ready color profile, or compliance with a specific accessibility standard. Such requirements may involve additional production or validation steps.
Links in the Guides section are provided to support the explanation and navigation of the site. If you follow a link to another service, its own terms and privacy practices apply. TextToEbook does not control changes made by external platforms or the files you upload to them after export.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a useful, working application, but uninterrupted availability is not promised. Browser updates, hosting issues, maintenance, and software defects may affect access or features. A locally saved draft may remain on your device while the site is unavailable, but access to the editor may still require the site to load.
The interface, templates, font collection, and supported functionality may change as the application evolves. Keep editable backups and review important projects after substantial application changes. An older draft may require compatibility handling if the data format changes in a future version.
Free access to the current features does not constitute a promise that every possible future service will have the same scope. Any material change to offered functionality or data handling should be described in the relevant product experience and supporting information. Do not infer future commitments from examples or exploratory design choices.
Contact and issue reporting
When reporting a problem, include the browser, the action you took, and the result you expected. Share a short non-sensitive example when possible rather than a full private manuscript. We may be unable to reproduce an issue without enough information to identify the relevant behavior.
The contact form reports delivery success only when the configured provider accepts the message. If mail delivery is unavailable, use the displayed email address through your own email application. A successful submission indicates acceptance for delivery, not a guaranteed response time or resolution.
These terms should be read alongside the Privacy Policy, which explains local draft handling and contact information. If you are unsure whether the tool is suitable for a particular project, test a representative sample and ask a focused question before relying on it for the complete manuscript.
